With a strong scientific background and experience in biotechnology and vaccine patents combined with a significant practice in all other areas of IP with particular emphasis on  trade mark and comparative advertising disputes and misuse of trade secrets, Tom has appeared before the CJEU, General Court and UK Supreme Court, the EPO and Irish High Court.

    • Celltrion v Biogen (Rituximab) [2016] EWHC 188 (Pat): first application to have trials listed as close as possible to 12 month anniversary of the action being commenced in line with the Practice Statement issued by the Patents Court in December 2015.
    • Actavis v Novartis (Rivastigmine) [2015] EWHC 1068 (Pat): patent infringement and validity claim regarding a transdermal patch for rivastigmine, a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
